NEW Feature Film Supporting LTCi
Film Overview: Production wrapped last year for the feature film, It Snows All The Time. The film is based on Ed Hover, (played by Brett Cullen) a former manager of the biolab storeroom at the University of Nebraska. Ed was diagnosed at age 58 with Alzheimer’s, which affects 5 million Americans and is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. This is a movie about a family sticking together through a difficult situation, showing the bonds between a father and his children and the love between a husband and wife.
Film Awards: Won Best Feature Film In The LA Art House Film Festival and has been accepted in the Boston International Film Festival.
Film Connection To LTCi industry: The national non-profit, 3in4 Association which educates the public on insurance products, services and entitlement programs was approached to support the film as a sponsor. The 3in4 Association saw this film as tool that could help raise public awareness on LTC planning products and the 3in4 brand. The 3in4 supported the film with a modest donation and also mobilized it members, supporters and the media to raise the last dollars needed to produce the film via crowdsourcing on Kickstarter. The Kickstarter campaign over funded by 22% for a total of $66,000 with the Kickstarter campaign.
Actors: Cast includes: Erich Hover (“Moneyball”), Brett Cullen (“42 and Dark Knight”), Oscar nominee Lesley Ann Warren, Jay Giannone (“Gone Baby Gone”) and Taryn Manning (Orange Is The New Black and “Hustle & Flow”). Hip-hop artist Slaine (“The Town”), Grammy nominee Clinton Sparks and Kenny Sterling Knight (“Disney”) are also part of the cast.
